Who we are

Beekeeper.  Educator.  Purveyor of fine honey.  Established in 2016, Hive Hive provides pollination services to orchards and farms in Northern Virginia and produces the finest raw, seasonal honey in the DMV area.  We also source and package interesting varieties from North America that are unique and of the highest quality on the market. 

We speak for the bees.  Our pollinators are in trouble.  As such, educational outreach is a major component of our mission.  We teach beekeeping classes, present to elementary schools via field trips and school visits and provide mentorship to new beekeepers.  To date, we have educated over 5,000 elementary school students in the DMV on the importance of pollinators to our food supply. 

In 2020, owner Steven Youssef volunteered in Madagascar under the Farmer-to-Farmer program, funded by USAID.  He trained beekeeping cooperatives on new methods of varroa mite control for their hives.  It was a fantastically rewarding experience, with measurable results - including increasing incomes seven-fold.
